on top of just the box, you need:
pedal box Hydaulic clutch setup bellhousing clutch gear stick cabling shortened driveshaft speedo correcter labour to put it all in. all up about $8 - $10K i have done it and it's a sweet drive. The gear changes are a snick. The T3 TKO 5spd was my next choice |

I'm actually contemplating changing my ute over to auto so I can have more fun in it without having to worry about the gearbox.

Plus quicker over the 1/4, which is what this car is being built for. No point saying that manuals are more fun, on a 1/4 they aren't. And doing stupid s**t on the street isn't worth it anymore

How quick are you planning to go?
A5 gear sets have done consistent 10's in fox body stangs. Manuals are heaps more fun (without being a d**k head). I love mine. I can't stand autos, even tiptronic ones. But this thread is about building a T5, not discussing transmission preference. |

as quick as I can with about 250rwkw. Then, build forged motor, up the boost and go as fast as I can til the BTR can't handle it

If you're building it for the strip, you can drop the weight of the EA quite a bit.
A full weight circuit EA (with driver) is about 1430kg. But you won't need a cage for the strip until you go real fast. Stripped fox body (with driver) somewhere around 1360kg. Not that much in it. Anyway, start another thread, leave this one a discussion about the Astro A5 a***. |
