Completely different setup from memory. Really with the V8 supercars the shell is about the only stock thing from memory.
Also the Munroe Gt shocks are base line spec, getting better shocks would help but your not going to get an El wagon to run like a v8 supercar unless you have VERY large pockets. An EL is a family car, a race car is a race car. If you want the race car feel, buy something that has a race background, be cheaper and easier to start from there than with your EL Wagon mate. |

first step is throw the Monroe shocks in the bin, stiff suspension from Monroe shocks will never happen, Monroe gas shocks are low budget stock replacements , you need good quality shocks like koni adjustables or bilstein ect..

i know with the comode [not sure about the ford] some of the factory metal in the front was replaced &/or beefed up
i think with the "supercars" its only the outer skin thats the same as the factory road cars.. ohh! .. dont faget that the "stiffer" you make your car with the body left "stock" the more chance of stress on body breaking/bending something .... a wagoon is heavier than a sedan to start with |

One thing to remember too, the lure of racing the Commodores and Falcons is the shier size of the car and their lack of race prowess. Throwing a large car around a track is what its all about.
Whats meant by the " shock" is stress and flex on the chassis and everything up front. Your EL is not made like the Au or Ba, its metal used, welds and design is completely different to the Au and Ba, so there is no comparison mate. They are 3 completely different cars. One thing too, the stiffer you make the your car, the more noises will be produced by s**t rattling, shaking and moving. Remember your EL is around 15 years old. |

I have low springs all round, Koni yellow adjustables and front sway bar (I think it's a 30mm). With the stiffest setting, you can feel every bump on the road, but handles great through the corners (for a Falcon anyway)...great for towing as well. Soft setting and it's back to boat mode...smooth ride over bumps, but wallows around corners and some long dips end in bumper scraping. At 2/3 stiff setting it's good for every day with some good cornering capabilities.

Bump steer comes from being so low. A good suspension joint will be able to get you Koni's. Budget $250ea for reds, $350ea for Yellow's.
