The top nut, you have to get through the little access hole, whichh is no problem except using a socket and ratchet turns the entire shockie, it's got a dimple to put a spanner on, but the holes not big enough, and then I can't turn the nut with the socket (so would need another spanner in the little hole which I can't turn as can't fit my hand in there).
And the lower nut doesn't have the dimple, so how do you stop the shockie from turning?

had the same problem in the ed wagon.

i assume you are replaceing them not puting them into another car.

you will need someone strong under the car and holding the top half of the shock on the outside with multigrips. well thats what i done and it works.

make sure that you hold the top half of the shock and not the bottom other wise it will still spin.

to install the new shocks, i just held it with my hands while someone else done the nut up in the car.
