G'day everyone.
Here's what I have done.. I have replaced the; Front ABS Wheel speed sensors Machined rotors Replaced brake pads Replaced brake booster Replaced Master cylinder Replaced ABS Modulator (thing under left hand taillight, under airbox) And today I think I will replace the ECU. What else is left? The problem is still happening.. Brakes have also been bled numerous times. |

ECU will not help I don't think.
So you still have brakes below a certain speed? This would indicate that it was not brake booster (if brakes are operating below a certain speed...) Maybe someone has connected the hoses incorrectly for vac feed to the booster? IE - Put the broad band manifold vac line to the brakes or something? And when you say NO BRAKES AT ALL.... Does this mean that when you PUT YOUR FOOT HARD ON THE BRAKE THAT NOTHING HAPPENS (HARD AS IN LIKE YOU ARE STOMPING ON A ONE EYED MONSTER THAT IS ATTACKING YOUR MISSUS AT 4AM) ??? Like - Seriously hard, and still no brake? |

Hahaha, yes, that's almost exactly what it's like.
I stomp the pedal, it won't move at all. Stays completely stiff. Yeah, I have brakes SOMETIMES. If I drive really slow and careful, I have brakes all the time. If I drive normal, then I have brakes sometimes. If I drive hard and fast.. No brakes. So it's quite a huge problem considering I can't just drive normal.. Last time I drove it I had to rip the handbrake on and use gears because I had no brakes. This is driving me insane. Going to go buy a one way check valve for my booster, maybe the one way valve is restricted or partially blocked? |

When you changed the pads did you check the calipers were not sticking?

if you remove the fuse for abs (if it has one) then it should revert to standard braking in theory. if that is the case then that should tell you if abs module is the culprit.

We removed the ABS module (plug next to the brake booster?) and the problem still happened.
BUT... here's the confusing part - the computer we hooked upto it said 'ABS fault'. ANother part is, all the dash lights are working.,. But no dash lights are coming on. The calipers aren't sticking or seizing up either.. |

Just a quick thing to check, what is the fluid level like and also is it the right rating fluid?
Also it might be the brake pedal itself that is slightly worn and just not making contact properly on brake application. So check this aswell
