I just got my car back from having a wheel alignment - it was out an absolute s**t in the toe adjustment, camber and castor were corrected as I just put a camber/castor kit on as well as new bushes.
Under braking at slow speed (ie. 5 - 10km/hr) it gets a massive vibration in the front left wheel. No vibrations in the right. The car drives perfectly straight. One idea is the possibility of a warped rotor - maybe after all this time driving it with bad alignment the rotor has warped, and now that its been corrected, the pad on rotor is not evenly distributed when braking. The vibrations feel like a bolt is running across the top of the tyre, although i'm not sure if this is worthy enough of the size of the vibrations - feels more like metal. So in conclusion has anyone experienced anything like this? Cheers |

Maybe it's your brake pads Davo ? Metal on metal makes nasty sounds.

Had the exact same problem on my EL, front left vibrating under brakes. I put new rotors and pads on and that fixed it all up

warped rotor, out of round tyre and the noise could be either worn pads or a stone caught in there...
