i got a cheap set from autobarn a couple of years back. they cost me $20. i've changed plenty of springs and they've paid for themselves.

I've never played around with suspension, springs and shocks. The hardest thing I've ever done on my EF is replacing the manifold gasket.
With compressors and front ramps, how hard would it be for me to put in shocks and springs front and rear. How long do I give myself to complete the job?

the back is simple, the front will take you longer. give yourself most of the day, as it's your first time, unless you've got an extra set of hands.

It's pretty straight forward.. just time consuming. I recommend getting a friend to help you... or organising a fordmods event to do it like we did for my car over here hehehe

i have some you could borrow! also if you are replacing springs and shocks/struts, you don't need spring compressors. don't undo the nut on top of the strut, just the three outer ones connecting it to the tower. pull it out as a unit. because the new springs are lowered you should be able to bolt them up with the new struts without compressing them. rears will have most of the pressure off them by the time you jack up the body.

it is possible without but i do have a set here if you want. takes me about 1/2 hour a side on the front and bit quicker on the rears.
