this man is correct
only difference is the diff ratio between falcon(gli) and fairmont and xr6, most e series falcon gli's are 3.08, i know my standard fairmont was a 3.23 and xr's are 3.45

All XR6/XR8 were 3.45 LSD whether they were manual or auto. Series II EF Ghia and EL Ghia were 3:45 LSD factory.

My understanding is that all XR6 E Series had the 3.45 diff, all XR8 Autos got 3.45, but EF and EL1 XR8 manuals had the 3.27 and only the EL11 XR8 manual got the 3.45 diff.

Cheers
