Just had my new adjustable Nolathane Camber/Caster Kits installed. I noticed that there is a large gap from the flange of the bush and the bush housing. Is this normal that the bush needs to float back and forth? This may explain the new knocking and creaking noises that i have now noticed when braking. Mainly happpens when braking and turning at the same time.
Any advise is appreciated.

Is that the only gap? or are all the bushes like that?
though it seems one more reason to ad the list of why you shouldn't buy nolothane. |

They are all like that.
I assumed that the fit would be similar to the factory units. ie. to the mm. |

Any advise is appreciated.

I have the same kits on my EL but no problems with gaps as you have described. Were the bolts tightened up enough on the wishbone? Before fitment did the crush tube sit insde the bushes slightly? If you still have problems after checking above remove the kit and send pics to nolathane with measurements of the crush tube length, complete width of bushes fitted and removed and the width of the inner wishbone where kit mounts. I dont think this would warrant a recall and i have had no problems with nolathane products. One more thing the out of the bush isnt meant to be greased as the only part you want to be lubricated is the bush inner and the crush tube outer. This was explained in the fitting instructions.

Joolz,
Any chance of a photo of yours? I took it back to the mechanic and he rechecked all bolts and nuts. Still have same problem. Emailed with photos and also rang Nolathane and still waiting for them to return my call. I knew i should have gone the shim kits. Oh well... My stupidity i guess. |

GOOD NEWS.
The techs from Nolathane have advised that they experienced a problem with some early production units and that they will honour a full replacement kit at no cost. Must have got one from the bad batch that slipped through i guess. |
