Hi
the bushes in my rear trailing arms (rear controll arms) are gone so i have some replacement arms for my NA fairlane however i am finding due to the old ones being so worn the new ones dont line up properly they are out by about an inch (exactly the ammount of wear on the old ones) Is there a way to turn the axel so it lines up again? If i run the engin with the brakes on and in gear would that get it in the correct place? Regards Barry

I'm assuming you don't have the car supported by the rear axle.
Use a jack to lift the snout of the diff, to help align the holes. |

I have atempted to do so but that seems to put it further out.
The entire axle needs to tilt foward so it is closer to the front of the car
