time for the idot question of the week.
is it ok to jack up the rear end of a ba from the cente of diff or do one end at a time? just wondering as with irs it aint exactly a huge lump metal going from one end to the other like live axle.

What are you jacking for? Probably safest to jack from the side, and if you need the whole bum of the ground, just use axle stands and lift one side at a time
|

Definately dont jack up from the diff as its only an alloy cast unlike the old steel beam axles.

good thing i asked.
one end at a time then. xf- we run 2 cabs, and i need to do rear pads, and as i have a 2 tonne jack i usually jack the whole end up and drop onto stands.
