They pop up on ebay for around the $1200 dollar mark. I got quoted $1900 for one fitted with new bearings and all the usual.

was it to suit a BW 78 series diff, wat was the part number?

is it 1.5 or 2 way?

cheers

No, this one was for a nissan, but it was a 2way. I would assume that the price should be similar. Part number would likely be on the kaaz site.

Nice mate.

I'd reccomend Aldo @ AD Diffs in Balcatta or WA Diff centre in O'connor.

It's not the motor as much as what you do with the car. You can destroy the factory LSD with a standard motor.

Yep thats right. You could destroy and LSD just as quick if you had 100rwhp as you could if you had 300rwhp.

I was about to say, without having tried either but having read a fair amount about the Powertrax, and a bit about the KAAZ, it seems to me the Powertrax might have a slightly more negative impact on the handling, but otherwise would offer more traction and be stronger and longer lasting than the KAAZ, for significantly cheaper purchase and installation costs.

Although, for drag racing, might a locking diff create steering problems?
And on the track, might a KAAZ be better due to less impact on the handling?

well got my kaaz fitted today by WA Diff centre, and its AWESOME

first couple of corners worried me with the sounds of the clutch packs slipping and running in but they assure me this is normal, found a nice big carpark and done the figure 8's run in.

no horrible noises now.

gave it a little bit turning and it stepped right out like it was on gravel

so for everyone thats thinking of getting one I HIGHLY recommend getting one fitted.
