Had similar problem with my XR, the alignment would just keep on moving out of place causing heaps of problems. I got it aligned once and drove around the block and wasn't happy and went straight back as the wheel wasn't straight when going straight. They had set it to toe in but with me just going around the block and back it had moved to toeing out. It ended up being the nolathane bushes were stuffed in both lower control arms (think that's what its called) in the front end got them replaced with noltec ones and its all fine now.

yeah thats what basically mines doing so might give the bushes a check. cheers

okai. now the steering is in the s**t. was driving at 100km down the western ring road and while i was going over the markings....yes markings on the road that pointed to turn left or go straight the steering wheel kept moving and i had to hold it still tightly.....this has never happened before and it seems the steering wheels is half way through vertical. how much would it cost to get it checked and fixed?

first take it to a suspension/steering joint and get them to go over it, no more than $40, for full report with details on whats wrong, they will also give a full quote on parts and labour.

probably be free if you get it done by them.

car is in for a fix at the moment. the lower control arm pivot was moving back and forth when u shook the tyre in and out (not forward and backwards) and so i just decided to get that fixed......350 bux and then 50 bux for wheel alignment =(. so 400 bux to get this problem fixed.

is that expensive?
