greetings out to all ,
i have a AU XR8 , 92,000km and has a knocking / backlash to the diff ....
is this common ? if not is it a known fault ? what can be / recommended to be done to rectify this problem ???

is yours auto?

i have the same thign and it is not the diff from what i can tell, it seems to be the gearbox s5 solenoid needs replacing

It maybe the shock bushes that are making that noise....i thought it was the diff too until I got someone to bounce the car while i was underneath...
