I was sitting in the back seat of my car today while the missus was driving out of the car park.
She accelerated slowly and the car jerked a little and at the same time i could hear a knocking sound right underneath me. could it be from the diff or tail shaft?
any ideas?

Uni's, control arms, shockers, LSD cones baulking, diff backlash, tranny.

Most likely shocks

Hmm ok so it came from your right side? what side were you sitting? if the left it could be backlash from the diff (replacing fluid may help) if you were in the centre or right its more than likely a worn shock (shaft rattling in cylinder) Or easier still dont sit in the back anymore !!!

Haha i just have beer goggles on and u? hehe Im pretty sure his knockin prob is shocks, shock lower bolts loose and or shock bushes.. Car was travelling too slow to be trailing arm bushes and have had no complaints of vibrations which would mean worn Uni's....

i was actually sitting on the rear right side and it only happens when the car was moving slowly. you know like when you stop and go in car parks and the car tends to jerk a lil? (by the way my cars manual)

The jerking would probably be because your missus isnt used to the clutch. Clunking could be diff related but its most probably shocks like everyone else has said.

can that be easily fixed or will it most likely be a big problem?
