G'day all

i just got myself some new koni shocks and lovells springs all round and have just finished putting it in but now i have some questions???

the rear springs are progressive but all the tighter coils are coil bound aka the coils are touching. does anyone else use lovells and is it same for you?

second Q is ive only done a few k's since putting them in but my right front is sitting bout 20mm higher than left. i have checked and everything seems to be seated in pretty well. any ideas or does it need to be driven a bit more to work itself out.

and fianally just out of curiosity what settings are people with koni yellows running, how many turns.

cheers all
simo

Thats what progressive rate springs will do, you have got them in the right way yeah?
Tighter coils at the top?

Are both the shocks on the same spring mount setting?

I'm running a half turn front, one and a half turns rear.

yeah, i just went and saw the place where i got all the gear and they said the same thing.
i find the bound rear springs a little weird though. i no there designed like that but i'm doing a bit of spring stuff at uni and the lecturer said never let coiles touch cos it increases internal stresses of the spring, neh, wat r ya gona do.

the ride is awesome solid now, if anyone is tossing up b/w paying a little extra for konis i'd reccomend it. + if ya shop around the diff in price aint too bad.

cheers for the replys
simo

once again here we see theory (uni) vs practice (reality)...

did you go superlows or? if so how high does your back sit? im running superlows and i got probably 1-1.5 inch gap from tyre to guard on the rear. i want it gone haha, everyone else with superlows seems a bit lower int he rear than mine.

mine are the 2nd lowest lovells make. FLR-42SL (i guess SL is super low). looking at your pics my back is slightly lower maby 10 - 20mm my fronts a bit lower 2.

i'm sure its not reccomended but my bro has an XE (same susp in da a** as E-series to my knowledge) and he has taken the rubbers off the top of the springs. dropped another 20mm, the ride didnt get harsh or nething. quick n cheap gain.
