hey all

i've had a few PM's recently asking about the spring combo i'm running as to if its too low etc, so thought i'd throw up the pics so people can decide for themselves.

i've got KYB shocks, with lovell superlow springs - from what i've been told, they are the lowest of the superlow springs around. i've also got 235/45/17's on the car, but can also get some pics of it when it had 225/60/15's on it as well when i get to my other computer.

thats it for now - if people want any diff angles, let me know

they were on the car when i got it - but i've the receipt at home, and from memory, it was ~$1300 or so all up.

but from there, i needed to get a camber kit, and am going to need to get my guards rolled too :?

Back sits perfect! Front is just the slightest bit too low IMO.

I like the ride height, pricw isnt too displeasing so long as she handle a dream - dont like the gaurd scrapage idea, but it is a fact of life i guess.

the copies are great - they look very good - no complaints at all.

front rotors are DBA slotteds - came with the car, but i'm under the impression they're around the $150 mark...

My XR6 uses the same Lovells springs, however I have Koni shocks. Mine sits a little lower than bob's, maybe ~10mm allround. Rides pretty well for how low it is, and doesn't scrape or cause problems turning (my guards are rolled). I had to get an adj. camber kit and have had no problems. I've also got nolethane bushes in some of the suspension components, but I have no problem with bumpstops or anything like that.

^jAsE^ is running Lovell superlows in his EL Fairmont, and we found that my car with King Superlows sat about 5-10mm lower.

Price sounds ridiculous.. parts are $540 for full set of Lovells or King Springs and KYB Heavy Duty Shocks.

really? my mates with king superlows is about 20mm higher than mine :?

as for the price - lol i didn't pay for it! actually... i've just pulled out the receipt... all up for KYB short shocks front & rear, lovell superlows, fitting & alignment, for $940... that sounds a bit better. plus i've had to get a camber kit on top of that ;)

Wheel/tyre size will affect ride height.

Yeah ... jAsE's sites nicely ... by the looks of things I have Lovells in my XG ute in the front ... has been lowered 2" all-round from a receipt i found ... will be putting a set of KYB heavy dutys in the front soon .... when I can get in touch with jAsE and pick them up off him.

I've had KYB gas shocks in my previous 2 cars ... and they have been awesome ... excellent controlling shock absorber ... that's why I have stuck with them.
