Hey guys

im trying to chuck my new leafs in tonight but the nuts holding the ubolts on are just not coming undone.

ive sprayed it with wd-40, tried to break the seal with a hammer and chisel (softly), got about a meter of breaker bar and im at the stage where the actual ubolt thread above where the spring is perched is twisting slightly when i try and crack the nut

im feeling as if im gonna snap the thread before i actually get the nut to crack

has anyone got any advice to get these pricks undone?

it shouldnt be so damn hard

thanks guys
Dan

By the sounds of that mate I would say that the u-bolt is stuffed just cut it off. I wouldn't be putting something like that back in the car anyway

Put your chisel on the middle of one of the flats and belt the hell out of it to spread the nut a littleif that doesnt work and you only have a hammer and chisel then cut a whole side of the nut off. If you got a grinder itll take you 10 seconds.
