My radiator is seeping on the left side (seems to be down the side of the radiator). Any ideas on how much repairing this is likely to cost. The radiator appears to be in OK nick. Would it be better to replace the radiator rather than having it repaired?

best bet is to pull it out and send it to natrad or somewhere similar and see what they say...
make sure u keep em honest on price. we retail a new radiator for (i think dont quote me on it) $220 + fitting and coolant.. |

Chances are it is either a cracked tank or a leaking seal. Repairing and cleaning it can come close to 75% of the price of a new one. New Natrad tanks can be bought for less than $200 and IIRC have a 12 month warranty, where as repairing it will only be covered by a 3 month warranty.

Take out the t'stat and drill a 1/8" hole in it to stop 'Heat shock'. This helps with radiator tank & seal life.

Might help once the radiator fixed or replaced, but I can't see it stopping it from leaking if the tank or seal has failed.

This little mod increases life of the seals & tanks.
