When was it last serviced?
Have you pulled any error codes?

Are you driving manually?

The Trans Range sensor gets oil in it. That can cause intermittent operation and as the oil thins out I guess it might cause less issues with conductivity/resistance (when the box is hot).

Also - plug behind manifold for transmission can do with a good clean. But usually, its the sensor.

I asked about manual shifting - as if the shifter isnt "set" properly, you can put the sensor out of range when you select first (or again, if the range sensor is old/worn it may go out of range)

the issue is when the box is halfway through warming up as lhm only happens after about 6 mins of driving I drive it for 10 more minutes then park it up go shopping then its sweet as.

it does it either way if I manual or let it shift itself
