My mate has a ford au s2 and his steering is alot better than mine i was wondering if anyone knew how to get lighter steering in a El Gli i6

I have the same situation: the steering on my AU2 is way lighter than on my EF. Both are I6s, both have the same tyres, so have no explanation for the difference other than that's the way they are made.

Could install a Ghia speed-sensitive setup.... not sure if you need to change the rack over or not.

You do need to fit an SSPS rack + EL Ghia or NL Fairlane ECU. The SSPS plug is already in EL Futuras and above - don't know if GLi's are in that too.
