basically i like drivng a manual but i dont mind auto
ive got an auto currently im looking at either tricking up the auto or a manual conversion if i do up the auto i was looking at manual valve bodys servo kit and also all the normal rebuild stuff and a new torque converter what are peoples oppinions on this it will be cheaper obviously to do up the auto and im guessing 1/4 mile times will be quicker and it will handle more power what are some oppinions on manual valve bodys has it been done before? is it even possible.

hey i hate to burst your bubble but there is no such thing as tricking up a btr they dont make servo or valvebody upgrades. They only make electronic shift kits which do more damage then there worth.

There are some things, i cannot remember exactly, i should have payed more attention when i watched a forum member build a BTR, but he drilled out some oil galleries (i think), and fitted better (kevlar?) clutch packs, as i said my memory is a bit faded as i wasnt paying attention as i was busy working on my own car at the time.
If your having trouble considering auto V's manual, basicly you arnt driving if your driving an auto. Down the 1/4, manuals are generally quicker than auto's (in N/A form), but if you plan on turbo most people stick with the auto. |

the auto's can handle a lot more power then the manual, but then depending upon how you drive both can die prematurely anyway. I ran 280wkws through a BTR for over 12 months (only reason I don't anymore is cause the car hit something solid and static).
