It will fit with alot of mods including cutting the floorpan. The easiest to slot in is an EA-EL box, but a B-Series 6spd will slot in

k's on a box mean nothing. It could have 50000k's but be rooted,

Do a search. It's been done many times!

Look in my build thread, AU box fits easy, but you need to cut trans tunnel by about 5cm and shorten your drive shaft by about the same. Ford in all their wisdom decided to make the AU T5's about 5-10cm longer than in the E series for some reason.

I thought the actual AU T5 box was the same, it was the bell housing that differed and required to be changed to properly fit into the earlier E series falcons?

Cheers

AU is 50mm longer at the shifter point compared to the E-series. Not sure about the AU V8 T5 as I didn't have one to compare. But the E-series V8 T5 is the same length as the E-series 6cyl excluding the input shaft which is 26mm longer in the V8.

Really? Is that figure with both boxes measured without bell housings fit?

Cheers

No worries. I was quite shocked too, honestly didn't think there was that much difference.

I thought it was all in the bell housing, but it looks like the ext housing is different as well. I will keep this in mind when i'm hunting for a spare T5 for my EB. We all know they have limits & it wouldn't hurt to have a spare in the shed. :D

Cheers
