King Springs
Front: # KFFL-57, Rear: # KFRL-68SSL. http://fordforums.com.au/showpost.php?p ... tcount=431 King Springs Front: # KFFL-57SL, Rear: # KFRL-68SSL. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showpost.p ... ostcount=7 Note that the first example is a little taller on the front. Generally I find that much more info on the B series cars is available at the Ford Forums site, hence the links. Also, if you want to make the correct selection of springs, I suggest you familiarise yourself with the part numbers. Have a bit of a look at the King Springs site also.... http://www.kingsprings.com/ |

Just throwin it out there for you,
Im running Pedders coilovers and absolutly love them. Can not fault them one bit. Have it set just right for my likings for both ride hight and firmness. Yes they cost more, cost me $2,200 fitted including wheel alignment at my local pedders. Spending that bit more was well worth it.

Thanks guys. Nah there's no way I'm going to fork out over 2 grand for coil-overs. I still have a long list of mods that I want to do and I'm scared to even think of how much it'll cost me in total lol.
Back on topic.. I was talking to a mate today and he said the stock XR shocks are already short so they don't really have to be replaced and his on ultra lows at the moment. I really, really like of look of the 2nd link. His car looks awesome. Would anyone happen to know the actual model of those rims? Didn't you used to have them Phil? Edit - This link by the way lol - http://www.fordforums.com.au/showpost.p ... ostcount=7 Cheers. |

Yeah thats fair enough mate, It was the last thing I did to my car and it took a few months of saving but well worth it..
I worked out I would only owe 3 grand on my car if I left it stock and put the money into paying off my loan. But thats no fun

hey mate yeah i still got those rims. They are Speedy Wheels Race Spec RSX (page 1 of my build thread) in 19" also his ride height looks very similar to mine even though i am only running Peddars Low springs. Pics are a hard way to go for measuring height but, best way to measure from the centre of your wheel to the edge of the car for an accurate measure of "height" - for the life of me i can't remember the term given to this measurement

The only thing I reckon I would want coil-overs for is if I do towing or something of the sort which I'm not ever planning to do. Just out of curiosity how do you adjust them? phil545 wrote: hey mate yeah i still got those rims. Could it just be a different rim that looks really similar? Where'd you get yours from and for how much? As for the height, isn't yours an XT? From what I've read and been told XR6's need very short springs to lower them just a little bit because the stock springs on them are already quite short. |

Yeah mine is based on an XT so the height was the same. I got mine from Jax at Castle Hill for $250 a rim (without tyres)
His current rims as per his profile pic are the fashions but the ones in the pic are speedys Here are the fashions http://www.wheelsnext.com/images/wheels ... n_mb_2.jpg

They look really nice. It's so hard to pick a set of rims!
Do you prefer those or Speedys for an ego XR6? I think the Speedys would suit it better. |

hahah you know my answer and thats the rims i got, I am not a fan of thin spoked rims period. I have seen the speedys on so many cars now though so they arent very unique anymore

Really? In Melbourne I think I've only seen one other car ever with Speedys.
I might go get some quotes for them this weekend. How much would I be looking at for tires if I get 19" rims? Also, this is a little off topic but just wondering if you know what the problem is so when I go back to the guy I can get him to fix it straight away without any f'ing around. I got a sub and amp installed yesterday and ever since then if I have my accessories or car turned on when my lights are meant to be turned off they're on, and the dash board isn't lit up. All other settings work fine it's just the headlights are on in the off position. Know what the problem could be? |

yeah sorry can't help you on the electrics mate - not my strong point. Well there is a huge range of tyres in 19s they range from about $150 - anywhere near $600 each tyre

Whow damn that's a lot. Just took my front 2 mudflaps off. They were a bich to take off, finally managed to do it but they've left some nasty scratches which I've got to buff out.

depends on the ones you get and how much you spend lol.
Mine u just jack the car up and adjust them with special spaners that came with them. You can get ones that can be adjusted in the car i think, could just be the firmness tho but hate to think what they cost. Also I have toyo proxy 4's in 245/35/19 and paid $250ish each

ahh yes the good ol mudflap scratches. Read quite a few threads about them from other people taking them off. Good luck with cleaning it up. I am rocking som achilles ATR sport in 19s and they only cost me $150 each - heaps cheap in my eyes and a pretty good tyre considering the price. People have said they have weak side walls but mine are going fine
