So i've been reading around the forum before i posted... but for clarification-
I have an EF falcon, 18 inch rims, standard height aka a truck. I want to lower it... but not so much that i scrape everywhere! How low does king spring superlow lower the car from standard height? or even just king spring lows? Does anybody know the specs? And heres a pic... how much should i drop it? |

holy s**t, i have an el and i swear it sits slightly lower than that stock...I would say go superlows, just adjust your driving to suit (ie go slow and straddle gutters and speed bumps)

This is my EL with King springs super low in the rear, king lows on the front, with koni yellow shocks.
After driving for a month with superlows, I changed to lows in the rear. I did major scrapage at one of the shopping centres in Melbourne and now have scrapes along the chassis rails of the underside of my car...no passengers in the rear, full tank petrol and sound system sitting on 17" rims. I say super lows might be safe for you with 18" rims but don't quote me on that. phong =P~ EDIT: Forgot to add the picture lol. EDIT 2: Also forgot to mention, the a** was sitting 8cm off the floor at the lowest point...it is now sitting a bit higher in the a** end, maybe 11-12cm off the floor.

ouch with the scraping... i feel your pain! (well... not in my current height... lol)
I will probably go superlow in the rear and low at the front. I got a quote from repco, they said around $180 a pair. Seen any springs cheaper around? EDIT: And i also sit on 18x235... would superlow be too low? i don't want any undercar damage... or have to go 2kmph over speedhumps |

sweet as... lookin at these cars now, i'll have to speed up the lowering ay lol
i measured it out, and i wanted my rear dropped around 50mm and front around 45mm... so superlow with standard shocks seems to be the closest fit How much were the pedders? |

just low springs on cars with 18inch rims or larger look rather gay. if u had 17's lows would look ok but thats what i have on my car and still think it looks to high in the front.
go superlows for sure just drive carefully around curbs and speed bumps and you'l be laughing

I also have shortened shocks so that's probably why it sat lower in the a** with a stereo system in the boot. You'll get away with super low springs in the rear with standard shocks and lows in the front with standard shocks. phong =P~

I'd go with what phongus said..... ive got the same setup in mine and looks good with practicality in mind.
The offset of those wheels looks like it might cause you headaches with tyres rubbing on the guards if you go to low |

Ive been getting different messages... for practicality and looks, what should i go for? superlow rear and low front with standard shocks? or low rear low front standard shocks? |

I think you'll get away with super low rears with standard shocks since the standard shocks will keep it up a bit down the back. Stick with lows in the front if you want to clear certain things such as parking lot concrete stoppers. I only went low in the rear because I have shortened shocks which dropped it another 10-15mm, and having a pretty heavy stereo system in the boot didn't help the height either. With lows, shortened shocks and heavy boot, the car sits level and nice now. I'll take a picture tomorrow if you want and you can compare between the two pictures. phong =P~

I got the pedders sports rider kit with shocks and springs and my back dropped 72mm and the front dropped 52mm (but im pretty sure my springs were higher than standard). The car rides a hell of alot better and it can take corners at twice the speed now.
oops yeah sorry i should of resized them
