Hey guys, I was the one who brought Nicko's Fairlane, very happy with it, apart from it being to high:P,
I need some suggestions from people, i want to lower the car, but lowering it till its just on legal limmit, apparnlty lows quote"do F**k all" and super lows (next stage down) are way beyong legal limmit,
can someone suggest or recommened me from experiance some springs that will just be on legal limmt (reason: insurance wise)

another thing, i heard compressing springs is illegal? can someone shed some light, cause that would be ideal as they can lower it to how ever much you want,
thanks
- Ash

I have superlows in my NL fairlane, it sits at a fine height, just above legal limits. I got pedders shocks and springs, great set up.

Nicko finally sold his pride and joy hey....

Look into the superlows in Heavy Duty as its a Fairlane (LWB)

Hey guys, i was just thinking, if i were to get adjustable springs, that means i can lower it to any height right?
does anyone know where i can get some? or sellign some second hand ones,
so if it were to work, i'd have to get set of 4 springs, cambre kit, anything else?
thanks
- Ash

why lower it. Its a limo made for a plush ride. Remember lower the car the more damage to the front bar. Put 4 people in it it will lower it instantly. Just remember if your gonna do it make sure it wont be too low especially when loaded and be prepared for a rougher ride.

Yeah, i acutally like that ruff ride, makes it feel a bit stiffer and firm, rather than a boat on corners...
i only want to lower it to just on legal height, but comtemplating what springs to put in...

Looks pretty low enough to me. I'm not sure if you do a lot of driving, but with the current height (lows), I hit a lot of s**t. Lanes being on lows is similar to falcons being on superlows in terms of hitting s**t.

..y eah unfortunlatly with it being a LWB, im gonna hit alot of Sh**,
Im acutally ordering (soon)
FFL-46 front and FRL-42SL rear, for the Fairlane, Lovells said it will sit exalcty on legal height with my red pedders shocks in,
Are these springs lower than lows?

(i wish i could leave the tank full all the time but these gaarddamm petrol prices are killin me)

bags as in airbag suspension
allows you to lower and raise by pumping air from a compressor and tank into an airbag at each suspension point.
that way when you want youre car to look awesome and even illegally low you can, but you can also raise it for practical driving.. but yer its not very cheap for a kit and THEN install

Ah yeah, I would LOVE bags in mine, then it will be a LWB Pimp Fairlane (as thier sturcture ain't for speed), but those things cost allooota monney,
Maybe if i can find some cheap or a really good pricei'll think about it, but for now....sticking to springs, Im gonna go down Pedders and ask them to make it exaclty on legal, as i don't want ot be playing around with springs trying to get the right height...
