Hey guys, just put a deposit on my drop job today, I'm getting durashock shockies all round, whiteline superlow springs in the front and whiteline lows on the rear as well an an adjustable k-mac castor/camber kit. $1510 all up fitted.

Does this sound like a pretty good kit to you guys? He recommended the durashocks over the whiteline KYBs even though the duras are cheaper. Apparently durashock put a lot more R&D into their shocks than KYB and have much better valves to suit the springs (So he tells me). I was gonna go superlows on the back as well but like he said it does look pretty extreme and I don't want to attract to much attention from the boys in blue, plus he said with a loaded car the backs would probably scrub.

Thoughts/opinions, anyone? :)

Sounds like hes blowing smoke out his a*** with the durashocks.
The Whiteline KYB's aren't 'off the shelf' KYB's.
They get revalved by Whiteline, to suit there springs.
Other then that, it sounds alright.
It will look weird with the lows in the back if you don't have alot of weight though.
My ED with Whiteline lows all round, plus a gas tank, has only just levelled out now that I've got 2 amps and a 12" Sub.
Now get swaybars!!!

Point taken, i coulda saved a fair bit of cash doin it myself probably, but i just have very little time at the moment between work and uni. The money i could have saved doing it myself could have gone into nice whiteline front and rear sway bars. But oh well no point sayin if now. Hopefully it'll handle pretty good and not look to wierd with the back end a bit higher than the front :S

Even if it does look weird, take it back to the guy and get him to change the Springs over.
You should clear it with him before he does it.
Say if you're not happy can you bring it back.

Will see what he says, hoepfully he won't have aproblem with it. He reckons the difference between the drop in the two will only be 10mm anyway. He said my rear end will drop about 10mm with the lows from what it is now and the front 20mm with the superlows. Guess it doesn't sound like much of a difference but once it's on the car could be a different story...

I've got v8's superlows in the front and lows in the back.
But mine sit like superlows in the back for some reason... still looks great.
I reckon the bad a** drag car look is awesome (front lower than rear).
Nothing looking weird about that at all!!!

Ill take photos 2morro.

Ok got it all lowered. The good news: doesn't look as bad is people said it would, it actually looks quite good because the rear guards are cut lower than the front anyway. The bad news: The front guards need rolling. The guy at the suspension place took it for a test "drive" (more like fang because i could hear it from ages away) when he came back he said it handles like a dream but the front tyres are scraping on the guards when you really hammer it through a corner. So much so when he came back the front right hand inner gaurd (where it is sitting flush inside the guard had actually been bent down! THankfully they tapped it back into place and it didn't bend the exterior of the panel so you can't notice it. But until i get them rolled I'm not alowed to drive it to hard through corners :(
