Fitted King Lows and new kyb shocks all round to the ghia on the weekend.
Personally i think it sits a bit low. I mean, it looks nice, and handles very well, but the ride is a bit firm, and i think im going to have driveway and rough road issues. What springs can i source that will sit somewhere between the lows and stockers ? Dont want to go back to stock, its shocking !

choco, I have the same problem in my Fairmont, however im using Koni Shocks on the front, Bilstein at the rear. I have found the King lows to be s**t , pretty good on a dead flat bit of road, but take it anywhere around sydney and its way too harsh. I was contemplating going Kmac progressive rate, but have been told a well matched single rate spring/shock combo will always be better
I think Kmac could do you a custom wound set of coils to achieve a height u want otherwise I could only suggest you try some XR6 springs (but you probably pulled them out, being a Ghia it may have had the tickford suspension in it) I personally will be going to lovells superlows, having the koni's adjusted to suit, and see how that goes. I dont need much ride height, just wanna get rid of the harshness

Hey old_mate, how do you find the Konis up the front? Are they the reds or yellows? I have a set of yellows to put in the front. Can't wait

You think lows are to low ??!
WTF are you driving over that lows scape ? Unless you have a huge kit I wouldn't have though it'd be a problem. I have kings lows in mine and they're fine for most stuff except the odd steep driveway which I scape my muffler tip on (but it's 3" lower than the bottom of the rear bar) Otherwise I fly over speed bumps and out of most driveways. I'd actually like something inbetween kings lows and superlows. On that note, you can have them reset to what ever height you like. I don't know where you are buy Kmac near me does it for $60 /side I think

Sell car with low springs - buy Rav4. YOu should have no probs with kerbs then and you will look hot too!

Is it lower than Jase's Fairmont .. it can't be that low seriously ... your driveway isn't that bad (I had issues with my old Satria and your driveway .. ie: never got up the driveway at all). But I had no issues with the lowered XG in your driveway.

Satria?! That probably did not have enough power to get up a speed hump!
