Hey guys I just acquired a low k EB wreck it has a freshly reco'd 3:08 single spinner (the whole car drives tight compared to my daily), I'm thinking of swapping the 3:27 LSD in the daily with it (it's got over 300 000k's) but would it be a good upgrade or more of a downgrade? There's nothing really wrong with the lsd (it does have slight play in pinion) but I'm pretty sure the single would be better it takes off quicker too believe it or not (probably a few factors). Should I swap it?

On paper, going from a 3.27 LSD to 3.08 single spinner is definitely a downgrade. But, if your LSD has 300,000 kms on it and hasn't been rebuilt, I would be surprised if it isn't single spinning anyway. So, it comes down to the ratio you want.
If you are happy with the 3.27 ratio, I would keep it and replace the fluid with Redline to get the best performance out of it.
