It will self clearance eventually.
Just call it selective milling.............lol

I got a dial indicator so won't be hard finding the high spot . As said its stuff all , probably 0.5 mm .

Have you seen the brig brake kit from ,ultra performance components bayswater vic ? they do a complete kit all new discs calipers police spec pads hubs modified e series uprights with new ball joints hoses & they do the hubs with different offset to run e or post au series ,it is $1500 but when you add up calipers x2 discsx2 ball joints ,new hubs pads hoses bearings studs all high tensile bolts cnc caliper bracket its not that bad & bolts straight on ,could fit the whole kit in under 2 hours .
don't get me wrong what you have done is great work i just don't have the equipment ,time patience to make it my self ,take a look at it if you haven't seen it yet |

Yea I've seen there kits , they don't have e series offset , they have au offset and some where inbetween pre au and au , took it on the highway went great , no vibration , no noises.
The rubbing shim noise only seems to be at low speeds . The brakes still fell the same as my old ones , I bedded them In but I suppose it takes a while ? When I brake I can feel it biting the front of the car dips down , but when I push harder it feels like the rotor is slipping through the pad .

I noticed a big difference considering the time i had the old ones when going down Mt Ousley or a very spirited drive down Mt Keira, didn't seem to brake harder but i could ride them the hole way down and still pull up on a dime at the bottom, that's with standard issue pads.
Those slots you supposedly had backwards, if there not letting the gasses/heat out as the wheel turns but trapping them in by forcing them to the center of the disk, could that be an issue? Either way, you have better looking brakes that actually look like brakes for under a grand

i think you will find that they wont feel any better under normal driving, but you will find they wont fade away when you give them a hard time like e series brakes do..

I havnt actually pressed them hard yet , just wearing them In gradually . When I bedded them in I pressed harder .
I think I will swap the rotors around and try to fix the shim rubbing , that can wait till the weekend . Good thing is if I wind the window up I can't hear anything lol What you guys reckon about my brake lines . Are they ok ? Would be better if the banjo fitting didn't sit sideways . On full lock it has to bend around the shock . It doesnt kink or get caught on anything .

Re : rotor direction
Ok so here is a problem with my rotors . On the drivers side the cooling fins face towards the rear of the car which is correct , but the slots face wrong , then on passengers side the cooling fins face towards the front which is wrong and so do the slots which is also wrong , so if I swap them around and have the slots face towards the rear that means the drivers side cooling fins will face towards the front which is wrong . Any ideas what to do ? Can't have both slots in correct direction or cooling fins . Choose 1, but only on one side lol

Slot direction is not importnat. It's the cooling fins you need to worry about.

The cooling fins are facing to the rear on the drivers side , but on the passengers side they face to the front which is wrong . It's like I have 2 of the same rotors .

My brake lines are pretty close to yours, i think mine have a 45* out of the calliper. They still rub on the shock, no signs of ware yet though

Found the source of the shim noise , it was the little tab right in the corner causing it , trimmed it off and no noise .
Got a dial indicator on the rotor , side to side is 0.05 mm . Which is good , but up and down is 0.30. Good or bad.
