{USERNAME} wrote: ok but if the el gt uprights dont have these what helps hold the pads in on the gt then? I'm not sure if they hold it or just align it? Regardless I think the caliper on EL GT brakes does what the ear otherwise would? Someone will be able to tell you for sure...I cbf going out to my car to look lol

in that case could we use the standard uprights modded to match the gt ones.
with the el gt rotors and use the AU2/3 calipers with these then? {DESCRIPTION} or something similar

AFAIK the GT uprights aren't anything like the standard uprights. But to achieve a similar result, most conversions do use custom brackets with AU2 calipers to them which are in turn bolted to the standard caliper mount holes on an upright that has had the pad slides removed. Then they just run the EL GT disc.

Corey, I'll get some pics of the mustang rotor onto EL uprights using a floating hub. It's the kit I have now.
In regards to EL GT, they run the same caliper as DC_Todd's TE and my NC. It is a PBR C4 caliper.

Just had a thought , why are mustang rotors used with a floating up and not au, ba rotors ?
Or the mustang rotors thinner ?? I found 330mm mustang rotors for $150 . So $300 a pair. Just need a custom hub and modified uprights .

Just need a custom hub and modified uprights . They are used for rotor height. The AU/BA rotors on a +6 hub will be on the upright. I'll have the front of my Fairlane disassembled early next week, I'll grab pics then.

Mustang is 5x114.3, just check which rotor you have found. It should be 330x28. I'll get some pics of the hub I have when I get pics.

You need a reference point to measure from. I honestly don't know where that point is.
Cheers ToranaGuy

Corey, those Mustang rotors are perfect.
Jay, the reference is easy to obtain, my kit is a +6 offset, so I can measure my hubs for Corey.
