Found out where the rotor was rubbing , . It was on the top of the caliper bracket but on the out side , so furthest away from the car , . The was 2 mm gap between the rotor and bracket. Just goes to show how much force there is going around steep sharp bends , the the load at the bottom of the wheel forces the top of the rotor to move out , wasn't rubbing by much , I took a few mm off with the file , should be ok now .

Engineer was supposed to be here an hour ago but now can't make it until 2 pm which has f**k my after noon plans up . Didn't even have the decency to ring up .

Well it failed engineering :(

It failed on the hole drilled through the upright. As it was hard to drill the hole accurately with a rotor on it was hard to get the hole in the right spot so it had to be elongated , to fix that I put a pin through the bracket and upright . Wasn't up to his standards but I can't see it failing , if it was going to fail would of done it now , I've driven it hard on the brakes down steep descents but anyway can't convince him . Going to see another engineer .

The next kit I make the holes will be spot on and the correct size . I have now found a way to accurately mark where the holes have to be drilled .

It was my first attempt at the kit and I think I did pretty good to get this far . Next kit will be better .

I think he wanted to pass it but couldn't ?? . He actually said I can still drive it and no one would even know lol worst comes to worst I make another set of uprights but cbf doing that, I'd have to get the ball joints swapped over , wheel alignment .

Just do the new uprights and get it passed if thats all he was worried about.
Take it as a setback in devellopment.
Dissapointing and a pain in the a*** but when you start develloping new stuff and adapting these things happen.
Its all part of the game.

Decided to make myself another kit , New up rights and brackets . But after I make turbo ghias kit .
I first found out that trying to acurately mark out the bottom hole on the upright was hard as there is a rotor in the way .
I have come up with this method to accurately drill the hole in the right spot .

1. make the bracket first. As the top caliper bracket doesn't go into the upright it will be holding the caliper bracket onto the bracket .
2. Place bracket and caliper bracket over rotor
3. Since the top hole is already there , I drill it out to 10 mm .
4. Get brackets In position . Put 10 mm bolt through top hole and tighten bracket down .
5. Now the bracket is held down by the top 10mm bolt and the caliper bracket is held down by the 12 mm bolt .
6. Spin rotor and make sure it clears bracket , then take off caliper bracket and rotor . Since I have the bottom hole drilled on the bracket and rotor off I can clearly mark on the upright where to drill .
7. Drill upright 12 mm and its done.

Then hope fully should pass after that .

I got the middle stud , 67 mm . The head had to be ground down a few mm though . I used a bench grinder .
