Corey, those Mustang rotors are perfect.

Jay, the reference is easy to obtain, my kit is a +6 offset, so I can measure my hubs for Corey.

I'm sure it is, but I wasn't going to make a possibly wrong suggestions as to where that point is.

Can I ask what the reference point is to work out the offset?

Cheers

Well had a look at au stub axles today ,no chance getting a au hub on a el upright .also took measurements of el stub So I can make up a drawing for a hub.

Anyone out there want to donate me 2 or 1 ef el upright , or sell ?

Is that gap between the cone and upright the +36 offset ?
And the the machined step on ef el looks 6mm , giving the +6 ?

Hmm.

I wonder, X-series LCA on an EA/EB/ED k-frame with an AU stub and UCA... would just need some strut rods and some sort of shock mount point, maybe similar to Image

Would this work in making a hub ?
Pretty sure the mustang rotor pcd is same as e series . Just have to machine off 10mm or so, so the wheel doesn't stick out the width of the rotor , also will need longer studs .

it might if there is enough room to machine back to eseries offset.........just need to find a rotor that'll work.

It will only have to machined back 10mm, that's how thick the rotor hat would be, I'm thinking the mustang rotor might not be high enough as it will need a thicker caliper plate ,maybe a au rotor ?

I'm going to start hacking up my old rotors with a angle grinder and turning them into a hub.
Just if I had all the dimensions of a mustang rotor , I can get a au 330mm rotor easy enough to see if that will work .

looks like the mustang rotor will fit over the el hub.

Quote:
The inside of the 13" Cobra rotor's hat is 6½" in diameter. This will fit over an early Mustang drum or disc brake hub, which is typically 6" in diameter.

i measured the el rotor ans its roughly 150mm , but i could machine it down to 140mm.
only problem is the disc may sit further away from the upright and wheel may sit out the thickness of the disc. but i may get away with that if i machine the face off the hub by 10mm .

got verniers and measured the el hub its 158mm , so its going to be a tight squeeze. the height of the mustang rotor is only 40mm, which is going to be a problem, need a higher rotor, possibly a au rotor

And I will also need hat/flange thickness

AU falcon hub is 150mm , I'm guessing the hat diameter of a au rotor is slightly bigger.
So I should be able to get a AU t series 330mm over a el rotor once I've machined it down to a hub .

That's already been attempted, all be it in billet. It's not possible without creating insane bump steer. $5500 down the drain......
