They are supposed to be stronger than the factory pin, as they have a larger flange supporting the pin. They also make it a 30 min job to add the pedal rather than the whole 3-4 hr job changing the box
I still have one somewhere here. Nigel |

You either take the pedal box out now, or sometime in the future.
Theres no avoiding it!

Pin is fine, pedal pox will either warp or rip. Ive been through one already. second one i had reinforced through the welds and havent had a problem since.

ah cool, i got an email back and he says $100 to my door, but only takes credit card... i dont have a credit card, and wouldnt use one over the net/phone anyway.
so basicly its more worth my while, ripping the bolts out of my boxcar manual pedal box (which has been rewealded) and fitting that? |

You can supposedly get the clutch pins from Ford pretty cheap.
Adrian got one a while back I'm pretty sure. Although Kyle tried to get one too when his pedal box died, and they gave him a brake pin. I'd try get one of those, weld it into your existing pedal box with some plates either side, strengthen the f**k right up.

I'm of the opinion as well that to do it properly, you need to pull the pedalbox, or have a modded auto one ready to put in.
Not only for the clutch pin, but for the cruise switch brackets, etc. The pins are still available from ford, part no EA7506A. More reading here: http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=38993. I have built a pedalbox to the alternative suggestion I made in the above thread - it's now fitted as I write this, it hasn't been long term tested of course, but I think it should be stronger than the traditional methods, since the force is now relayed into the twin brake pedal pin attachments.
