So im thinking about doing a manual conversion because the Falcon auto's suck, there terrible! And i keep hearing this Malwood pin kit conversion? So i ring them and they say its stronger than an actual Manual pedal box!
Is this true? what is the best option here?

well seeing as its not that easy finding a 'perfect' manual box  ya either have ta make do with a well used one or one that has failed & ripped OR use a auto unit which 'should' be in near perfect condition & fit the malwood. the factory units had bugga all reinforcement from new so using either means that you will NEED ta reinforce around the pin area [the factory more so]. and incase ya wanna know .... i have two of the factory units .. so they will be checked ova & used [repaired if needed]

ya can use the auto unit ya got anyway

I think the mal wood pin is the easier option as you don't have to pull the dash out to swap it. If you do use the factory pedal box, be sure to strengthen the clutch pedal pin as they are prone to cracking. Check my thread.

I have read that the malwood pin now has the strengthening built in.

I have the malwood pin. Its very strong. I use a 4 puck brass button clutch that is quite heavy and there is no sign of bending/warping at all.

The Mal Wood pin is stronger than stock. It's 10mm plate!

The pin is well engineered. I would suspect that welding it will create structural weakness. Besides - your undoing the whole point of it. it goes in Dash in - no removing. It makes the manual conversion a 30 min job (that part) instead of a 3hr 30 min and lots of swearing job.

It's stronger and faster to do. I have one I'll sell cheaper than Mal Wood, brand new, never been used.
