Hey guys, had my manual conversion sitting here a while, have been informed i now have access to a pit to do the conversion in which is a bonus. Have just been reading the tech doc by Voxace, and making sure i have everything, and have only just noticed that i am missing the Dust Cover off the bellhousing.

Now what i need to know is where i can get one of these things and how much its gonna set me back? Live in a fairly "remote" area (use that term loosly) so the only place i can even attempt to get one from is Autopro which i will try tomorrow. If all else fails where else can i try? Only need the little cover bit and the hosuing it mounts on.

Thanks fella's

Wrecker ones may be hard to find in good condition, Go to Ford they are not expensive.

sadly for lil things like that fraud is your only real hope.

as "most" wreckers wont sell bits of a conversion as the conversion is worth more to them complete.

shouldnt be much from fraud

I bought one a few months ago,it was for an AU but it was around $10-$15. AFAIK its the same as E series. - We are talking about the plastic boot for the ctutch fork?

Nah the dust cover mounts behind the sump on the bellhousing part of the motor.

I think that is what he is on about anyways. Its missing on mine.

Well i think ur both right.... it covers up the end of the clutch fork where the clutch cable hooks onto, and it is made of plastic.... so i dunno lol. Got a cracked one coming from FTG so ill just patch that up for now. The guy also said that the EF clutch fork is unservicable, as i needed to replace the cable dampner that sits in the clutch fork and connects to the cable, but i managed to get mine out as it was only held in with a few tabs bent down. The new one i got here from Auto pro doesnt have the tabs so i need to find a way to make it sit in there without falling out.

So thats
$140 for the fork , damper and the boot? If so that is reasonable. If it the just the boot then check again that he is pricing the correct part.

Try getting a price for an AU one then, as I said it should fit.

They aren't $140. He's probably looked up the wrong part number.

I have bought a few before at between $12 and $15, so they are not expensive.

Although, that doesn't matter as they are now NLA. The only ones left are what a dealer may accidentally have on the shelf.
