How much have you had machined off the flywheel, or has someone else before you taken off. The effective leverage of the clutch fork becomes less the further through the arc that the fork travels. I machined my flywheel on my last clutch install, and it had similar symtoms, my flywheel is on its last machining and will need replacement upon the next clutch install. I spaced out the cable as outlined above and it cured the prob, however the fork only has 0.125" before it makes love to the bellhousing at full clutch disengagement. Im sure that there isnt much difference between 5ltr and 4ltr clutch setups, apart from the fact that you have the fork on the other side.
