EA'S are NOT carbied, they ran the crappy CPI (center point injection). if your doing the manual conversion in an EB series 2 or ED falcon, get the computer from an XG ute/panel van. they where popular with the 5speed manual, with the EF-EL range get it from an XH. are the tailshaft lengths different with the E series range between auto and manual? i know with the XD-XF series you dont need to.

because it's a common misconception, as a lot of cars do require tail shaft changes, most commowhores etc. either for length, and yoke can be different

fun fact a mate used a yoke out of a ba, for the 55customline gearbox he put in his tank fairlane.
55-07 or so probably longer, the good old 28 spline yokes use for.
xy gt tailshaft = EA tailshaft.

yes the is combinations that are differnt but still.

oh and the yoke for my tank fairlane 9" is suited to an au. :lol:

au on tailshaft lengths became an issue again. manual to auto, but ea- el the same.

v8 I don't have much knowledge on.

I've done the conversion in a 6cyl EB Ghia, and the tailshaft's are the same. Dunno about v8 car's, both my V8 e series are manuals from the factory. :D

To trick the ecu into thinking it is it neutral you will have to add a 7k 1% rated resistor, or a 6.8k-ohm resistor between pin 30 and pin 46(signal ground)..

ahhh.. its a little different on eb1.. did you remove the auto tcm??


sure did. it bolted to the auto pedal box. no place for it to go now
