con the pedal box be taking out the dash if not is it hard to get out what tools will i need |

The question really is why go to the trouble. Use a Mal Wood pedal mount. Your auto box already has the hole to support it and it is one bolt to do up.

Having done one of these conversions with a Mal Wood clutch pedal pin on an EL I can only say, "Why would one bother to pull an entire dashboard out to put in a manual pedal box."
Really save yourself the trouble even if it's only 30 bucks for the box that's 30% of the cost of Mal's pedal pin.... Good luck with the conversion though.

3rd'ed on the mal wood pin, the effort involved in swaping the pedalbox's is stupid. spend 4+ hours swaping them or, 10mins including the call the day before to mal.
but you will need the manual pedal, the spring from it to the floor etc. |

how does the pin go for strength?? ive seen a few pedal boxes cracked and bent up, and ive had mine all plated and re-enforced.., does the pin have this problem??

don't know what you guys are crying about
 i got my peddle box out in about 2hrs, no time at all, and thats the whole dash sitting on my seats,it's all pretty straight forward if you know what your doing.it all goes back nice and neatly too

Seems half the people who claim the mal wood pin is gods answer also talk about welding and reinforcement.. Surely the pedal box has to come out for that though regardless?
Ive seen too many threads about auto pedal boxes bending and cracking to think its the easy way.

No offence but a manual pedal box is prone to bending as well. Theyre virtualy the same except for that pin which replicates the original anyway. Its simply a poor production design, which all manual cars whether converted auto's with auto pedal boxes or factory manuals, They will all bend and break at some stage.
It is a good idea to reinforce the pedal box before putting it in, even if it is a manual one. |

the biggest thing that bends the pedal boxes is clutches coming out of adjustment, or getting heavy and needing replacing.
