Guys. im looking at, and thinking of putting a manual steering rack into an E-Series.

Anyone know of anything suitable?

Wot? I thought the steering racks for the auto & manuals are the same. Or, do you mean you're going to operate it by hand? :D

As Ford Australia has used power steering since the 70s, are you after something specifically made by Ford? I know someone who does Mustang steering conversions who may have some ideas. How soon do you need an answer?

It was just a query at this time.

I understand that ford has had power steering since the 70s and have converted a number of X series to PS.

Im looking though at making an E Series non-PS - more for engine bay cleanliness.

Dont worry about chasing it up - was a query just in case someone knew off the top of their head.

Years ago, a mate had an EB sedan as a drag car, 351C, FMX auto, and a modified 9".
He was using a VL Commodore steering rack. He had a modified steering link ( the link from the steering column to the rack ).
