how do i check the manual transmission fluid in a 5 speed manual ford econovan

there should be a check/fill plug on the side of the box.. usually a 15/16" i think.. whip that out, and the fluid should be level with the bottom of the filler hole..

There are 2 filler plugs on the Econovan box. The rear one is a square headed plug, which is lower. The front one in front of the rear one, is the one to check the level at. They use VMX 80 (Castrol) or similar oil.
