Hey all, i recently installed a 3.45 LSD in my EL GLi and on the test drive it vibrated massively mainly when i slowed down tho, like right at the end there but i could still feel em before i slowed down any ideas on what to look at?

Pretty sure i did, but the diff i got was an ABS and i left the sensors on there but chopped the wires coz they dangled, could the rotors be wrong? i mean the car stops but maybe thats a possibility?

Check your tailshaft. Did you use the same shaft and install it in the same orientation as it was removed? Sounds like a tailshaft issue if vibrations occur during deceleration. If you used another shaft, swap it with your original one.

So boys, the tail shaft was loose, and I tightened it, and I changed the oil and nothing changed, it vibrates alot worse on decel but sometimes its so bad its in the steering wheel, like its so crap especially when shifted to second! Ya can hear it and feel it in the center like its the trans!! Its an ABS diff and I dont have ABS, I left the sensors in but chopped wires can it be that? Or possibly warped rear rotors?? Gahhh

abs or non abs doesn't matter... if it was good before you changed the diff.. either your tailshaft unis are stuffed from friving with loose tailshaft or the diff you put in has a f**k pinion bearing or something??

GIGANTIC SIGH! Well the unis did get put through a bit of hell actually, lol lets hope its that, but can warped rotors at the back cause constant vibration?

no, warped rotors on the rear will only cause brake pedal throb

check the angle of the diff and tailshaft, because el has different length upper arms..
are there 2 sets of mounting holes on the diff for the upper arms?? |

the pinion angle could be off causing vibration
