i love how all the drift kings pop there heads up and tell everyone how your gonna lose control. Coz they know best. rah rah rah..... shut the f**k up.

Mini spools are very predictable! If u give it s**t, u know its gonna swing the a** out. In some ways thats safer!

The only reason i have an lsd in my car is because of the extra tyre wear a minispool would use.

There used to be a product called LOKKA, for 4wd air lockers, but they also do borg warners... I think its roughly 600 bucks, same price as a good nick lsd. I dont know anyone who has a lokka in there falcon tho.

Ive got a minispool coming my way.. should be arriving tomorrow... interesting to read these mixed reactions. Ive got a single spinner and really don't like it... loose traction way too easy. I know an LSD would be the way to go, but with wagons, the price for those are even more (rare).
I know you can buy LSD hemisphere and stick that in blah blah blah... but a minispool is easier and cheaper. As for dangerous. I think the minispool would be alot more predictable, sure dangerous when no traction in the wet. But there would be alot more traction on take offs (in the wet).
I can only really see tyre wear been the main issue, then there's the getting used to wet driving with a minispool. oh and the legalities involved.

Cheers

a spool is as dangerous as a new lsd, so if you know how to drive it wou;ld be fine also as some one said its more predictable which is also safer, every C*** is just sooking cos its illegal, any C*** who cant drive is gonna crash with or with out a lsd so who cares its there own fault.

any one with 18" wheels on there standard falcon that came out with 15' rims has an illegal car its dangerous.

well i had a locker in for 9 months and thrashed the f**k out of my car everyday, even went in burnout comps, had 5 people in it, did u-turns, reversed while turning, drove it to work everyday, all the things your not supposed to do with a mini spool and never hurt an axle, when i pulled them out after 7 months they hadnt even started to turn the splines.

dude as long as you realise you have to treat your car with a little more respect then before you will love a mini spool, dont let the guys who couldnt drive a nail home with a fry pan put you off.

as for being so illegal, pfft, let em prove its a locker and not just a tight lsd.

intercepter, please dont take this as a dig at yourself, but.....

whether its welded or spooled, the end result is the same.
i agree spool's arnt for everyone, but to just say they will cause you to crash and blah blah blah is just a bit over the top, sure they can be more dangerous then an open centre but then again a standard car in the wrong hands can be a weapon, just have to learn to adjust your driving style to suit, hell, my mrs drove my car all the time as well, including in the wet, but she was sensible and didnt drive like a d**k and all is well.
