Hi All,

I just had the front brakes replaced on the falcon and my mechanic found that the front right caliper had seized on one side. After he freed it and installed the brakes, it squeaks like buggery. He told me it needs a minor caliper repair, because the rubbers had gone, so I am about to do it myself.

Question is, what is the orange (lubricant??) for that comes with the kit?

Any other tips you might have would be appreciated as well.

not %100 percent on the actual grease, but bearing grease has done the same job for me in the past.

i dont know wot comes with the kit, but when u pull off the rubber from the slides, get a bit of wet n dry onto the slide and make sure its clean. clean up where the slide runs through the caliper aswell. then cover it in grease n put it back in :P lol not that hard.
i dunno bout the orange lubricant, but there is anti squeel which we use on BA's that have brake squeel which is red. when it dries its more of a rubber than lubricant.
