ok so i checked the auto fluid last night in the eb because it wouldnt select gear, there was about 1cm of fluid on the dipstick so i filled it up till it was just over the full mark when running, i proceeded to degrease the box and parked it in the shed for the night on some butchers paper so i coule possibly find where it's leaking from, heres the funny thing, there was no fluid lose on the ground but when i checked the dip stick it was about a litre down on fluid so topped it up yet again, i checked all my tranny lines for leaks and there are none, i check the radiator to make sure it wasnt a broken tank leaking into the radiator water and it isnt, now im just stumped at the moment i need the car for work so i cannot pull the box and chase the problem as yet, has anybody got an idea or had a similar problem, the box is clean and no fresh fluid is present on the outside.

Did you run it after you topped it up? If you did, I would say that the oil is now in the Convertor. Top it up some more and see how you go.

yer it was serviced at the mechanics he flushed the whole system and refilled it and ran it untill it took as much oil as it needed plus a tad more, ive had it back to him once sense then and it was down 1ltr so he topped it up but now with it im just sick off the problems with the auto it's a terrific car to drive around in if the auto wasnt such a let down.
