Hey guys, So my brothers BA XR6T has been in at the Ford dealers for the past week because of the gearbox and he was told that the XR6T imput shaft was twisted or something? Not to sure. Anyway we were wondering if theres anything different between the XR6 auto and the XR6T that would stop us from slapping one in and selling the car.

There's lots of internal upgrades to handle the power, but would physically swap over. Just get a box out of a wrecked turbo.

What gearbox is in it? 4Spd Auto or 5/6spd manual?

Yeah its the 4speed auto. Over in NZ turbo 4 speeds are 3k+ so its just easier to out and buy a brand new one basically. Yet N/A 4 speed autos are about $300 from wreckers here. My brother just wants to put an N/A box in it to flick it off. Yeah its dodgey but you have to do what you have to do to make money sometimes.
