i have tried a number of places ford including to get a hand brake cable for the rear part of my NA fairlane. i keep getting computer says no..... Apparently the rear part of the cable (not front) are discontinued.

does anyone know what other model has the same sort of cable (other than the NC, same deal there) that would be in production still?

The cables have been obsolete for a long time but, you should be able to get along to a Better Brakes store and have them make one for you, of course having the old one to go off will be helpful.
