hi guys, doing a wheel swap at the moment, went to take the first wheel off my Ghia, and it seems to be stuck on the hub! (yes all the nuts are off) ive even used the tyre iron as a slide hammer to jerk the da,mn thing off, but it simply wont move! its stuck fast
 it cant have corroded onto the hub already, theyve only been on there a few weeks.... the wheels in question are EB Turbo blades.can anyone provide a quick answer? id like to have my wheels swapped by tonight. cheers in advance.

As far as i know the alloy rims will expand more than the hub when they get hot. You could try and tighten the wheel nuts back up and take the car for a drive withs lots of braking and let the heat soak into the rims. when hot remove the rim.

happens all the time at work. alloy wheels seems to stick.
what i do is put one wheel nut on a few turns (so when it does break loose it doesn't go flying) and hit the inside of the tyre with a rubber mallet. each time you hit it rotate it about 45 degrees. so hit, rotate, hit, rotate etc until it comes off

if you give it a kick in a rocking motion (kick the right side of the rim,then left and repeat) it might jimmy loose

Another vote for the rubber mallet here. Used to have the same problem with turbo blades on my old EB.

well, TriggerHappy's idea sounded good so i drove around for 10 minutes with the brakes on
 which did nothing more than create a massive stink and stit tons of heat in the brakes, but not much on the wheels, so that didtn make it come off. then i got under it and booted the living f**k out of it about 50 times, nearly rocking the car off the jack in the process but its still stuck on fast stuff it, il have to try it tomorrow.

another vote for rubber mallet - my boss at Bridgestone used to do it with a sledgie!

gotta be careful with a heavy hammer. can cause a bubble in the sidewall
