for some reason i tried to undo the top of my rear el shocker but it spins.could any one give me a rough down on how to get it off.am replacing them

Sounds to me mate like you need to put a pair of vice grips. I assume just above the nut that you are trying to remove is a section of the stud with NO thread on it. Hold that tight enough with the vice grips and the thread wont spin with the nut. That should do the trick.

hold the top of the shaft with an 8mm open ended spanner or a set of vice grips, 8mm spanner is better though, less chance of damaging the shaft. The other way is to use an air impact tool.

thanks guys and ive also just fitted ultra lows on the rear doesnt look ultra low though is there some sort of sway bar or trailing arms or something that i need to reset and how do i do it?

Nothing to reset, make sure the springs are seated correcty, and springs can take some time to settle too.

you do need to reset suspension bushes - with the full weight of the car on the ground lossen all pivot bolts including the bottom shocker bolt and watts link and then bounce the rear end a few times to get it to settle then and tighten to spec under full weight of car on ground

if you dont it will damage bushes and you will hear all sorts of funny noises
