Hi Guys.

On my way home tonight from Wollongong, I've lost all power to the rear wheels. I stopped at a set of lights and took off when they turned green and Bang! No forward gear and a very loud grrrr noise like crunching. I pushed the car off the main road and into a turning bay. I got under the car and looked to see if the tailshaft or driveshafts were broken but they looked intact.

When the car in in park or neutral no noise but once reverse or drive are selected the noise starts. Has anyone got any ideas on what it may be? I'm not too familiar with the ZF.

I do have a spare transmission at home but as I said I'm 200km from home. Are there any guys in Wollongong who I could talk to and perhaps they would swap them over for me?
