Hi hoping someone may be able to help me out, Was changing the Mrs Drive Axles today , drivers side came out easy.Passenger side will not budge, tried everything but it will not come out. I have an Haynes manual for it but it gives no breakdown of the Trans , I'm wondering if i would be able to knock it out through the drivers side , or if anyone has any ideas why it would be jammed.
Any help appreciated Cheers Jinxed |

You can lever them out, use 2 levers with equal pressure either side of the inner CV joint. They are held in with a wire type circlip.

yeah ive had this problem... you need to get an old extention bar and a hammer and place the extention ina position where the force of the hammer blow is pushing the shaft outwards... first give it a coule of good hits if it dosent move, rotate the shaft a 1/4 of a turn, if it doesnt move just keep rotating it untill it does.. part of my job is wrecking cars, so i get this alot this procedure tends to work for me...

My missus has a 96 Festiva and I've found that simply pushing the driveshafts inwards first before you try and pop them out (do it real fast) works best.
Seems to help break the wire retainers away cleanly. A small pry bar and big flat blade screwdriver make ideal levers.
